A MAN has appeared in court charged with stealing perfume worth £8,500 in a raid on Harvey’s, Halifax.
Leighton Kevin Davies, 31, is accused of burgling the Commercial Street department store on Sunday March 13, causing £5,000 damage.
He is also said to have assaulted a police officer, PC Craig Pearson, on Wednesday March 23, in Commercial Street, Halifax.
Davies, of City Lane, Wheatley Halifax, has entered no plea to the charges and was bailed by Calderdale magistrates.
He will appear in court again on June 7.
