Police say accelerants may have been used to try and start a fire at a property in Halifax.

Fire crews from Halifax and Illingworth were called to Grosvenor Terrace at around 12.30am.

A West Yorkshire Police spokesman said there was an indication accelerants may have been used.

It’s thought the door of the house did not ignite, but there was scorch marks.
