The 19th annual Tapathon comes to Calderdale on Sunday, January 18, with six schools in the area taking part.
The dancing takes place at 10.50am at Dance 4 All, Halifax, 11.05am at Baby Ballet, Halifax, 11.20am at The Dance Mill, Halifax, 11.40am at The Janet Austin Tappers, Brighouse, 12.00pm at Karen Binns Stage School, Elland and 12.20pm at Strickland-Cook Theatre School.
All the dancers that take part collect sponsorship money and, along with a raffle, tombola and a guess the number of dancers competition, always raises a good amount
Since 1997, the Tapathon has raised £229,323.98 and organisers are hoping they can achieve £250,000 by the 20th Tapathon next year.
Organiser Janet Austin said: “I love the day as it has a fabulous atmosphere and makes you feel so good to know you are there to raise money to help the research into lung cancer.”
