Preparations for this year’s Brighouse Gala are now well underway and organisers are appealing for help to make this year’s 50th anniversary event one to remember .
As part of the day, organisers are hoping to put on a display of old photographs, but need help to collate as many as possible.
Jean Ainley, president of the Brighouse Gala committee, said: “We’re particularly looking for any photographs of stalls on the ground.
“We want procession ones, but so many people have them.”
A venue for the display hasn’t been confirmed yet, but it will be in Brighouse.
If you have any old photographs you would like to submit to be used in the display, please contact Jean on 01484 712141.
This year’s gala will be held on June 27 and there will be plenty for visitors to enjoy.
The day will be made even more special as organisers are hoping to get as many past gala queens as possible at this year’s event.
And as as ever, the gala procession is not be missed.
There will also be the usual stalls, displays and entertainment, including the West Yorkshire Police Band and the Tiger Motorcycle Display Team.
