Appeal to find man who has been missing from Huddersfield for a year

POLICE are renewing their appeal for information on the whereabouts of missing man, Dariusz Michalowski.

The 44-year-old was last seen by a family member at his home address on Macauly Road in Birkby, Huddersfield on Sunday, March 1 last year at around 2:30pm.

He told a cousin that he was visiting friends in the Lockwood area but did not return home and has not been seen since.

Dariusz has been living in the UK since October 2010 when he lived in Wakefield. He then moved to Birkby in the New Year of 2011.

It is thought Mr Michalowski worked as a gardener at Nostell Priory and did agency work in the area but was known to be down about becoming unemployed.

Dariusz is described as a white man, 5ft 5ins tall and of slim build. He has receding black hair and is generally clean shaven.

When he was last seen, Dariusz was wearing a black and grey jumper, dark coloured sports trousers and a black sports cap.

It is known that Dariusz has links to London, Manchester and Norwich.

Anyone with any information on Dariusz’s whereabouts is asked to contact PC Karen Truelove at the Kirklees missing persons unit, or Huddersfield CID via 101.
