A creative community is joining together for an auction to help those affected by this summer’s floods in the run up to Christmas. A range of artistic work will go under the hammer on the evening of September 28 at the Waterfront Hall in the new town hall in Hebden Bridge.
Jason Elliott (pictured), who works in America as a specialist art auctioneer, will be running the show on the night.
Amy Leader, of Hebden Bridge Community Association, which is hosting the night, said: “The floods have caused an immense amount of hardship with many having to close for protracted periods, often laying off staff. Hopefully we can help bring a bit of extra Christmas spirit.” Visit www.hebdenbridgetownhall.org.uk
