Aussie maestro signs up with B&R
Brighouse and Rastrick Band has announced that Australian maestro Professor David King, the band's Professional Conductor, has signed on from a seventh successive year.
B&R President, Paul Beaumont, said: “During the past six years, Brighouse has developed a unique and highly successful relationship with our Professional Conductor, Prof. David King.
“The band is looking forward to the next contesting year with eager anticipation, in particular the opportunity to represent England at the Europeans in Lille in April. Additionally, everyone at B&R would like to offer our sincere condolences to David. Our thoughts are with him, his mother and the family at this time.”
Resident Conductor, Leigh Baker, is to lead the band at this year’s Yorkshire championships.
