Why it could be a nightmare living on Elm Street in CalderdaleJust some of the tasty treats which will be drawing in visitors include Greek delicacies such as gyros, souvlaki, and Greek pies, a Traditional German Schwenkgrill selling bratwurst and currywurst, mouth-watering French crepes and galettes, Catalan cuisine - tapas and paella, pofitjes, the famous Dutch mini pancakes and even ostrich and kangaroo burgers.

But it’s not all about food as there’s some great craft and gift stalls including fantastic jewellery made from recycled silver cutlery; South American jewellery and knitwear, handmade amber, crystal and gemstone jewellery and of course the famous Dutch Market Garden where you can wander through a huge collection of shrubs, bulbs, beautiful plants and trees with some great garden ornaments.

Calderdale Council’s Cabinet Member for Regeneration and Economic Strategy, Councillor Barry Collins, said:“The International Market is always a popular event and this year visitors are in for a frightfully good time, as the stalls and traders will be getting into the Halloween spirit.

“There’ll definitely be more treats than tricks, as visitors can experience the delicious food and pick up some unique gifts in time for Christmas. At the same time, why not pay a visit to the town’s many shops and our Victorian Borough Market, which is bursting at the seams with history, energy, friendliness and a massive variety of products.”

The Opening hours of the International Market are:

Wednesday: 9am to 8pm – Halloween night

Thursday, Friday and Saturday: 9am to 6pm

Sunday: 10am to 5pm
