Ballet tribute for renowned ballet teacher Dorothy Stevens

These lovely pictures show prospective young dancers during the audition process.

Organised by former pupil and successful ballerina Charlotte Ingleson, the concert will be a celebration of Miss Stevens’ dedication to her craft. The renowned teacher’s name is legendary in ballet circles the world over and her unstinting service to dance was recognised with an MBE in 2002.

Miss Stevens’ school at Wakefield Road, Lightcliffe, welcomed many dancers through its doors over the years and it’s hoped the show will be a fitting celebration of the lives she has touched.

The gala performance, named ‘To You I Dance’, will be held at the Alhambra Theatre, Bradford, on Saturday, November 7.
