Bands to play at Ramfest live music event

A music festival will be held this afternoon as Ramfest returns for its sixth year.

The event at Southowram Cricket Club will run from 1pm-8pm with live music, food, an outside bar and children’s entertainment.

Cash will be raised for two good causes, Ravenscliffe School’s sixth form and community centre at Spring Hall, Halifax, and Calderdale Young Carers.

Tickets cost £5 for adults and £1 for children.

The line-up includes returning artists Jake Smallbones, International Party Doctor and Psychoslinkys and long term supporters While the Cats Away.

They will join newcomers Lewrey, a previous BBC Introducing band.

Ravenscliffe@SpringHall needs extra funds to fit out its sixth form centre.

Young Carers works with children and young people who help care for family members who have health problems.
