A MAN has admitted possessing £15,000 of criminal property.

John Harding, 57, of Whitegate Road, Siddal, Halifax, admitted the single charge at Bradford Crown Court, which says he falsely claimed council tax benefit, income support and incapacity benefits between April 2003 and April 2009. The case was adjourned until April 26 for a pre-sentence report to be prepared.

His son, Andrew Harding, faced trial last year after conning 72-year-old Brenda Nicholls out of up to £7,000 by promising to marry her.
