At just 14-years-old Ellie Paisley will be the supporting act on a professional bill at the Crossley Gallery, Dean Clough, on Friday.
The talented singer/songwriter will be playing guitar and singing several of her own songs during the “Laura Taylor in Concert” show.
Laura, an accomplished singer, songwriter and pianist has passed on her skills to many youngsters including Ellie.
“She taught me piano and singing and asked if I wanted to support her,” said Ellie.
“I was touched she thought of me as there are many other people she could have asked.”
Ellie has previously gigged at open-spots at the Puzzle Hall, Sowerby Bridge, and Square Chapel, Halifax.
“This is my biggest gig yet. She is a professional and my name is on the bill. I’m more excited than nervous,” said Ellie, of Ripponden.
Ellie has always been interested in music and started playing guitar two years ago, initially teaching herself via the internet and then taking lessons.
“I tend to concentrate on my own music which is a kind of alternative acoustic blues. I like Jack Johnson, Janis Ian and Joni Mitchell,” she said.
The Ryburn Valley High School pupil hopes to study A-level art and music at Greenhead College, Huddersfield.
Her parents Hannah and Graham, and brother, Billy, 18, will be in the audience tonight.
