A RESIDENT has finally had her recycling waste collected - seven weeks after it should have been picked up.
Tracey Fisher, of Ling Royd Avenue, Highroad Well Lane, Halifax, has put up with the rotting food and pile of tins, bottles and paper since before Christmas.
"The bins are absolutely full of rubbish - they're overflowing," she said.
"They seem to collect the whole street's recycling but not mine. I don't know why.
"I can't put any more food in the food bag so I've had to throw stuff in the normal bin, which is full anyway.
"What do I pay my council tax for? They want us to recycle but won't empty it for us.
"I have had this problem before. I'm absolutely fed up with it."
Mark Thompson, head of housing and environment, apologised for the missed collections. He said the bins had finally been collected on Monday.
