The Bling Fling ladies lunch will take place at The Arches, Dean Clough, Halifax on Friday, May 3 next year and it will have a floral theme.

Two new members have joined the committee and hope to make sure that next year’s event is just as much a success as the first one.

Helen Thewlis, from Ramsdens Solicitors, is looking forward to working with the rest of the Bling Fling ladies and Vicky Marriot was a massive help to the team last year, providing lots of support and wanted to get further involved in the next Bling Fling event.

The Diamond Bling Fling last year raised £17,750 and organisers are hoping to raise even more money for the charity.

The Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice, based in Huddersfield, supports families whose children have life shortening illnesses and needs to raise £4 million a year to continue to care for the more than 500 families it currently looks after.

One of the organisers, Vicki Davenport, joint managing director of The Pink Link distribution company in Huddersfield, said: “After the first Bling Fling was such a hit we knew that we had to do this again.

“The ladies lunch is a chance for business women to promote their businesses, let their hair down and have a good time whilst raising money for a worthy cause.

“We want to keep the event interesting and exciting, which is why for the 2019 event we have decided to go with a floral theme.”
