THIS is the desolate spot where a walker stumbled across a dead body on a derelict farm.
Tests are under way to establish the identity of the person, who was discovered on remote moorland near Withens Clough Reservoir at around 4.30pm on Thursday.
The person is believed to have been dead for several weeks and could have been sleeping rough on the moors.
Police are not treating the death as suspicious.
Calder Valley Search and Rescue were called to help police and coroner’s officers retrieve the body because the area where it was found is so remote.
Team leader for the rescue squad Al Day said they were called to help at the same location around four years ago when another body was found.
