Platinum couple William and Amy Nicholl are having an extra special Christmas this year celebrating their 70th anniversary.
The couple will mark their impressive milestone today, Boxing Day, surrounded by family for a little party - with another celebratory meal planned in the new year.
Amy, 95, and William, 90, tied the knot in St Mary’s Church in Bradford after meeting at a dance.
Mr Nicholl worked as an engineer at Leggotts of Bradford for 51 years and during the Second World War he worked on munitions. Mrs Nicholl worked as a weaver at Wade and Glides of bradford and during the war she worked at Avro of Guiseley welding parts of Lancaster Bombers.
The couple, of Brow Lane, Shelf, are both originally from Bradford but have spent the last 49 years living in Calderdale.
The couple both enjoy reading and Mr Nicholl also likes gardening.
They have one daughter, Pauline Stockwell, who lives in Holmfield with husband Peter. They also have two grandsons, Andrew and Simon.
Mrs Stockwell said her parents are as happy as ever and have never been apart.
“They’ve always done everything together - they’ve always gone everywhere together and never gone out without one another.
“They’re really looking forward to the party and the meal in the new year.”
