B&R narrowly miss out on victory at National Brass Band Championships
Brighouse and Rastrick brass band narrowly missed out on the title at the 2015 National Brass Championships with Welsh band Cory crowned the winners.
B&R finished runners up at the competition in the Royal Albert Hall in London with Queensbury’s Black Dyke band and reigning national champions finishing 11th.
The championship event showcases the band world’s top talent and the event attracts more than 4,000 people each year to hear renowned ensembles battle for the UK’s top title.
B&R has now gained qualification for 2017 European Brass Band Championships after they finished as the highest placed English representative.
