Brighouse goes back in time to the 1940’s

The people of Brighouse showed their battling spirit in the face of downpours as the town was transported back in time.

The second Brighouse 1940’s weekend got into full swing with displays, food and entertainment.

A remembrance service was also held with D-Day veteran Stan Taylor laying a wreath with the Mayor of Calderdale Ann Martin.

Tomorrow will see the same street entertainment and shows including Chris Helme and John Spencer giving talks at the Salvation Army.

The day will be rounded off with a parade featuring all the entertainers.
