Brighouse to go swinging back to the sixties

Brighouse will be swinging back into the Sixties as the Brighouse Business Initiative unveils its latest attraction.

The Brighouse Business Initiative will be holding its first ever Sixties Weekend to tie in with the annual spring market on April 23 and 24.

Steven Lord, one of the organisers said “We are determined to bring the best live entertainment to Brighouse.

“However, we need the good people of Brighouse to support us and buy tickets. If they do we will keep on bringing more top class events to the town.

“The 1960’s were the heyday of the mini and scooters, the Beatles, Elvis and Sinatra. We’ve got them all lined up for you. So dig out your hot pants, bell bottom trousers and 45 singles and get in the mood.”

After their successful booking last September, a Beatles tribute act will be giving a concert on Saturday April 23 and over the weekend the music of well know groups and soloists will resound around the town centre.

The BBI are also putting the finishes touches in bringing the “West End Musicals” to the stage at the Civic Hall at 7pm on March 5.
