The shortlist for the 2016 Halifax Courier Business Awards has been announced - and once again the very best of the borough’s business community is on show.
A range of highly-talented individuals and hugely-successful companies have been nominated for awards, and the competition on the night will be fierce.
In the Business of the Year category, the nominess are Quickslide, Brighouse, Collett & Sons, Halifax and Pexa Ltd, Holywell Green, Halifax.
For Business Person of the Year, the nominees are Nick Worsnop – Chadwick Lawrence LLP, Halifax, James Wheelwright – J & C Joel, Sowerby Bridge and Helen Darlington – INK Digital Agency, Halifax
Employer of the Year nominess are Harveys of Halifax, Pennine Pneumatic Services Ltd, Halifax and Community Support Services, King Cross, Halifax.
Entrepreneur of the Year nominees are Laura Towler – Maxwell’s Fun House, Walsden, Todmorden, Brant Richards/Ed Oxley – HebTroCo, Hebden Bridge and James Howard – Yorkshire Payments, Brighouse
In the Green Business category, the nominees are Pennine Pack Ltd, Hebden Bridge, The Woolshops Shopping Centre, Halifax and Parkinson-Spencer Refractories (PSR), Holmfield, Halifax.
Collett & Sons Ltd, Halifax and Helen Smith – HS Group (DynamicX) Fitness, Halifax are nominated in the Innovator of the Year category.
In the Manufacturing category, Polyframe Halifax Ltd, Bond It, Elland and Heywood Timber, Halifax are nominated.
In the New Business category, the nominees are Croft Myl, Halifax and Redwater Contracts, Ripponden, Halifax.
And in the Small to Medium category, the nominees are CommsProvider, Mytholmroyd, Group Management Electrical Surveys, Elland, Eclipse Renewable Energy, Halifax and TSG Associates, Halifax.
The ceremony, hosted by TV presenter Jon Hammond, is at The Venue, Barkisland on October 21. The drinks reception starts at 7pm, followed by a three-course dinner. Tickets are available at www.halifaxbusinessawardstickets.eventbrite.co.uk. The deadline for tickets is October 14.
