Covéa Insurance has formally opened its new offices at the historic Dean Clough A and B Mills in Halifax.
The building was officially opened by Thierry Derez, president and CEO of Covéa, and marks the transformation of A and B mills into a modern work place for Covéa Insurance’s 650-strong local workforce.
James Reader, Covéa Insurance CEO, commented: “Halifax has been an important base for our business for over 50 years and for some time it’s been our ambition to have a single-site in Halifax.
“Our investment in A and B mills reflects the confidence we have in our business and our people, and demonstrates our long-term commitment to investing in our future growth and success.
“We feel incredibly fortunate to have such a supportive shareholder in Covéa and were thrilled that Thierry Derez was able to join us to mark another significant milestone in our business.”
The multi-million pound redevelopment of the 75,000 square foot space in A and B Mills also marks the completion of Dean Clough’s successful regeneration story with A and B mills being the last two of Dean Clough’s ‘great mills’ to be renovated.
James added: “We were delighted to have had the opportunity to bring these great mills back to life and their transformation over the past 18 months has been incredible.
“One of our strategic priorities is ‘being a great place to work’ and I’m delighted that the feedback from our Halifax team is that our new home in A and B mills is most definitely a great place to work.”
