FROG, the Halifax-based award-winning learning platform provider, has appointed Alistair Smith as education director.
He has 30 years’ experience including developing innovative approaches to learning and he has implemented systems that engage learners.
Mr Smith is author of several books on learning and a learning consultant to the Football Association. He said: “I genuinely believe Frog is at the leading edge, globally, in what it can offer education and there’s energy about this organisation, a youthfulness that I like and with that comes a lot of optimism.”
Frog supplies software that works like a building kit allowing users to build most things that can be found on the Internet (e-learning, social networks, video sites like YouTube, and so on) within schools.
Frog is used in more than 600 schools and academies across the UK and worldwide. Frog announced in January its roll out of the learning platform technology to six million users, across 10,000 schools in Malaysia through a joint venture with the YTL Group of Malaysia.
