HALIFAX is home to the fastest growing small company in West Yorkshire.
Frogtrade, at Dean Clough, won the title at an awards luncheon in Leeds run by law firm Ward Hadaway in association with the Yorkshire Post.
The Yorkshire Fastest 50 2011 awards ranked businesses according to turnover and profit growth.
The company works with schools and local authorities to develop better ways of learning through technology to push students and staff to achieve higher standards.
It was formed in 1999 and is also the fourth fastest growing company in Yorkshire as it starts to expand further into international markets.
To spearhead its international growth, Frogtrade is entering into a joint venture in Kuala Lumpar with Malaysian company, YTL (one of the largest companies on the Malaysian stock exchange) to help them grow into the Far East.
Frogtrade managing director Gareth Davies said: “We are absolutely delighted to win this award, and being recognised as the fourth fastest growing business in Yorkshire was a big surprise for us.”
Frogtrade works in more than 700 schools across 63 UK local authorities.
