Elland-based Orchard Energy has pledged to double staff numbers over the next five years.
The firm, which celebrates its 10th anniversary this year, is also looking to increase turnover from 4.5m to 18m by 2020.
Founder and managing director Gareth Henderson said staff training and development would be a key focus as the company implemented its growth plan.
He said: “Orchard is very keen to promote talent from within. As we expand, there will be an even greater need for personal development plans for our employees.
“We are currently in the process of recruiting a dedicated training and development manager to enable us to push ahead with improvements in this area.
“We will continue to look to our staff to work with us as we move towards our goal of being one of the UK’s leading employers.”
