CTS Ironmongery is celebrating 25 years in business next week.

The Halifax-based company has grown to service the trade market across much of Yorkshire.

As the business expanded it has added new lines and now provides everything tradesmen need under one roof.

More than 10,000 lines are stocked from branded power tools to adhesives and are used by an army of builders, joiners and plumbers.

General manager Paul Kitchen said the business had kept up with developments, invested heavily in stock, and grown year-by-year.

“Everything has moved forward, especially power tools as they became cordless and more powerful,” he said.

“We deal with branded products rather than the cheaper versions as they will be getting a lot of use from our customers.”

The business, formerly known as Calder Trade Supplies, has its head office at Halifax Industrial Centre, Pellon Lane.

It also has a branch at Bradford and a new branch opened in January in Rotherham serving the South Yorkshire area.

Directors Michael Balmforth and Philip Netherwood set up the business and it now employs 26 staff.
