Lobbying to help businesses

The Mid-Yorkshire Chamber of Commerce was represented at the recent round of Party conferences.

The British Chambers of Commerce have long argued for a more radical solution for affordable funding and said it was encouraged by the Lib-Dems support for a British Business Bank.

At the Labour Party conference chamber representatives met with shadow ministers Toby Perkins and Iain Wright to talk about international trade who both said trade policy should be long-term in order to give exporters confidence in the business environment in future.

At the “Exporting Is Good For Britain” event held at the Conservative conference the chambers argued for tax incentives for exporters.
