Staff at Halifax Specsavers have raised £140 for the Royal National Institute of Blind People by participating in their ‘Wear dots, raise lots’ event.
The team at the opticians in Woolshops Shopping Centre all donned spotty outfits in a bid to highlight awareness of the importance of braille and raise much-needed funds for the sight loss charity.
They also sold raffle tickets, giving customers the chance to win a gift hamper in exchange for donations to the worthy cause.
Assistant store manager Sharron Manning said: “We were delighted to help raise awareness of braille and raise funds for this worthy cause, and I’d like to say thank you to everyone who donated or bought a raffle ticket. The Halifax community was incredibly generous.”
