A local pipes and valves supplier is hoping there’s more success in the pipeline after moving to a new 10,000 square ft warehouse in Elland.

Premier Pipeline Supplies distributes industrial pipework, valves, fittings and controls and is owned by Halifax-born trio Patrick O’Halloran, Vincent Lee and Robert Moska.

They will celebrate their 25th anniversary in business next year, and Robert said the move to Elland is a significant milestone in their history.

“We were at our original offices in Chatham Street for 22 years so moving to new premises was a massive step for us,” he said.

“The space constraints dictated that we move, which means we can keep much more stock on-site and help us continue to meet our customers’ needs.

“But we’d like to think it shows how far we’ve come as a company.”

The firm has another office and warehouse in Huddersfield and overall employs 14 staff, while their sales team has more than 250 years of experience within the industry.

Robert believes the company’s new premises will secure their future for the next decade.

He added: “The three directors all started working together within the industry in the mid-eighties, .

“We went our separate ways but still kept in touch. We set up two smaller companies but pooled the resources of our businesses and merged in 1991.

“We now hold £500,000 worth of stock on site, while our annual turnover has risen to £3m.

“We rely on word of mouth and reputation for a lot of our business. We’re in a specialist, niche market and have competition from multinational companies but with our knowledge of the industry, competitive pricing and customer service we have survived and grown through the recent recessions.

“The move to Elland will push us forward for the next 10 years or more.”
