Hipperholme-based eco-roofing specialist, Ploughcroft, is showcasing its green expertise with the launch of a new office complex providing eco-friendly workspaces for businesses in the region.
Situated in the heart of Hipperholme, the seven office units, ranging from approximately 180 sq ft to 240 sq ft, are situated above Ploughcroft’s head office.
The former council offices, built in 1890, originally had an energy rating of G. However, thanks to Ploughcroft’s green construction techniques, they have gained what is thought to be the biggest-ever jump in energy efficiency to an A rating.
The interior has been cocooned with recycled insulation products including bottles and aluminium, polyurethane and lamb’s wool.
The offices will be unveiled on Friday at a special open day between 2pm and 4pm.
