Staff at Halifax Post Office took part in a nationwide strike from 2 pm today (Thurs).
The Communication Workers Union called the strike over Post Office plans to close or franchise 76 Crown offices.
The town centre Halifax office is one of 373 Crown offices involved in what was a sixth strike in the continuing dispute.
Another full day strike is planned for Saturday, June 29.
The union says the closure plans would cost up to 1,500 jobs.
Crown offices comprise 3 per cent of all post offices but handle 20 per cent of all customers and 40 per cent of all financial services.
The first strike took place on Easter Saturday.
