Brighouse firm Norwood Interiors, who have been in business for over 30 years, will be celebrating their first anniversary after being taken over.
The kitchen, bedroom and bathroom design and installation company was founded in 1985 as a family run business, but new jobs have been created since the takeover by GPS Capital, while existing staff have been given teh chance to progress within the company.
Alan Dixon, head of customer services and HR, said: “The new management identified key staff skills and created opportunities for those skills to be utilised more effectively. This not only gave staff a confidence boost but also created new opportunities within the company.
“It has also been encouraging that we now have a staff structure which is based on the development and promotion of new young staff through apprenticeships, which has clearly given us new options, energy and enthusiasm.”
The company is seeking further new staff, particularly for the installation arm of the firm.
Norwood have just opened a third showroom within Whiteleys Garden Centre in Mirfield, and was recently chosen to be the local official stockist for Laura Ashley.
