Water supplies were returning to normal after a pipe burst on Huddersfield Road, Brighouse, this morning.
It happened just after 11am today (Friday) and affected homes and businesses in the Woodhouse area of the town.
Properties were left without water and engineers were on site dealing with the problems through most of the day.
Temporary traffic lights were also set up along the busy A641 route between Brighouse and Huddersfield near the junction with Railway Street while repairs were being carried out.
The company said they had handed out bottled water to customers without supplies and the spokesman apologised for the inconvenience caused by the burst to affected householders, businesses and motorists.
Repairs were completed by 5pm.
