The Wakefield Road junction with Stainland Road is closed tomorrow (Saturday)
Following the flooding, essential works need to be carried out at the above location (near the canal basin). To do this safely the road will need to be closed from 7am until about 6pm.
This means that Wakefield Road will be closed at the Bolton Brow end and will be access only. There will still be access to Copley via Copley Lane.
The diversion will be via A58 Bolton Brow, Rochdale Road, A646 Skircoat Moor Road, Dryclough Lane, A629 Huddersfield Road, Salterhebble Hill, Huddersfield Rd and vice versa.
The following roads are still disrupted:
Elland Bridge, Elland – closed for the foreseeable future due to structural damage
Midgley Road, Mytholmroyd – closed due to a collapsed wall.
North Dean Road, Copley – closed due to the collapse of Copley Bridge.
Scout Road, Mytholmroyd – closed due to a landslide.
Footbridge between Bridge Lanes to Hebden Vale Centre, Hebden Bridge – footbridge closed.
Towpath East of Woodhouse Road, Todmorden – canal towpath closed near Woodhouse Road.
Footbridge between Hollins Mill Lane and playing fields, Sowerby Bridge – footbridge closed.
