Calderdale Council’s Cabinet will consider the 2015/16 council budget this afternoon.
Cabinet will decide whether to carry forward proposals which include Council Tax levels and total spending power for further scrutiny.
Tim Swift, leader of the Labour group, has requested that Liberal Democrat leader Janet Battye makes it clear where her group stands in relation to the budget.
Coun Swift said: “Shortly, there will be some public consultation on the budget.
“Before it begins, the public should be aware whether the Liberal Democrats are acting independently or if they are already committed to doing yet another deal with the Conservatives.
“I am calling on Lib Dem leader Coun Janet Battye to set the record straight so that everyone knows where they stand.”
Cabinet will meet today (Monday) at Halifax Town Hall from 2pm.
