Calderdale exporters to share their secrets to entrepreneurs

Being held at Dean Clough in Halifax on November 11, the event is aimed at entrepreneurs looking to take their first step in exports, businesses wanting to get top tips on expanding overseas operations or for anyone wanting to meet valuable contacts who can share their expertise and global networks.

It has been organised by UKTI Yorkshire & Humber, the Leeds City Region Local Enterprise Partnership and Calderdale Council.

Those appearing at the event include Summit Consulting, Monarch Mobility, which is the largest mobility supplier in the UK and now exports its products around the globe, and Food and Drink Exportese, which provides support, contacts, lucrative introductions and unique insights to manufacturers looking to break into new overseas markets.

Calderdale Council’s Cabinet Member for Regeneration and Economic Development, Councillor Barry Collins, said: “We are international leaders in a wealth of products and services here in Calderdale. By sharing our success stories, we can encourage other local businesses to fulfil their own export potential and show what Calderdale can offer to the world.

“By working together and sharing our experiences and contacts we can really show what Calderdale has to offer the world.”

Regional director of UKTI Yorkshire and Humber, Mark Robson, added: “This event will allow businesses in Calderdale to hear how their neighbours are finding growth in international trade, learn how they can do the same and also meet like-minded businesses who can help them on their export journey.”
