The monthly walk, led by Julia Wood, was called “Beyond Sutton Bank” and was eight miles long.

It was described by the leader as “give the madding crowds the slip” on this panoramic, leisurely, dog friendly saunter through scenic rolling farmland, culminating with, quite possibly, ”the finest view in England” according to the vet and writer James Herriot.

After a soggy start the sun came out and extensive views were had and a great walk was enjoyed by all the group, pictured above.
