Held at the Victoria Theatre, we said a massive well done to the 22 amazing children nominated.

Hosted by Halifax’s very own Neil Hurst, each child received a special trophy and will enjoy a matinee performance of Jack and the Beanstalk this afternoon.

Neil, who plays Simple Simon in this year’s pantomime, said: “I was absolutely honoured and humbled to award these wonderful children these great awards.”

To read about the fantastic children recognised in the awards and to see pictures of the day, pick up a copy of next week’s paper for a special 8-page pullout.

And don’t miss your chance to see this year’s pantomime - Jack and the Beanstalk runs until Sunday, January 4.
