Changes to bus routes in Calderdale

A review was carried out last June and the public was consulted on a number of changes to the early morning, rural, evening and Sunday services in the borough.

The following changes will be put in place from Sunday, January 25.

There will be an hourly daytime service between Rochdale, Rochdale Road Ripponden, Sowerby Bridge and Halifax, with a limited Sunday Service. An evening Monday to Saturday journey at 9.25pm from Halifax will be provided on a “use it or lose it” basis over a 15-month trial.

On the daytime service between Ripponden, Soyland, Mill Bank, Sowerby Bridge, Copley and Halifax, there will be an hourly daytime service, with some “use it or lose it” evening journeys provided.

An hourly daytime service will run between Northowram and Halifax.

While, a two hourley service will start for Krumlin and Ringstone to Halifax and Ripponden.

There will be a demand responsive ring and ride through the daytime from Monday to Friday on the Dean Head service, linking to Sowerby Bridge/

An hourly off peak service will run between West End, Washer Lane and Halifax.
