Charity’s plea for help in village

Charity bosses hope to set up a new fund-raising group for Marie Curie in Queensbury - and volunteers are needed.

The charity is holding a meeting in the village later this month as a chance for people to find out more about the group, which will help support Marie Curie’s campaigns such as the Great Daffodil Appeal and Blooming Great Tea Party.

Anyone who likes organising, delegating, county money, baking cakes or to just donate an hour or row of their time, can get themselves involved.

The meeting will be held at George III pub, Queensbury, on Monday January 21 at 7pm, where representatives will answer any questions and explain what being part of a fund-raising group entails.
