Jack Rigby turned four earlier this year and Forces Support wanted to make sure it was a birthday to remember and one which promised happy memories and a positive future ahead.

So, the four-strong Forces Support Team set to work creating a Thomas the Tank Engine themed playroom for Jack at his home in Southowram. The team also put a giant trampoline and playhouse in the garden.

Forces Support created a space that both Jack and his mum, Rebecca, can enjoy a place where they can remember their dad and husband who tragically lost his life in May 2013.

CEO Bill McCance said: “We created a space for recreational time, the time Jack would have shared with his dad. The garden and playroom will allow Jack to make many happy memories with his friends and will offer a space to reflect and play.

“This project was very important to create a happy, fun and safe environment for Jack but also to create a calm, relaxing space for Rebecca and a beautiful home for their family unit.”

Forces Support received a heartfelt thank you note from Rebecca who wrote: “I honestly can not thank you and your team enough for what you’ve all done for us. The playroom is fantastic, and I’m sure Jack will spend many hours having fun in there. We now have a home we can enjoy and be proud of.”
