England C boss Paul Fairclough is promising a performance full of pride and passion when the national side take on Estonia under 23s at the Shay on Tuesday (7.30pm, free admission).
FC Halifax Town duo Marc Roberts and Matt Pearson are both set to play in the International Challenge Trophy game.
Fairclough said: “My guess is there will be a mix of regular Halifax watchers and others who want to see an England team at the Shay.
“They will see a high quality match with good players from both teams and they’ll see a group of English players who are passionate about playing for their country.
“These lads feel so honoured to play for England C.
“They’re so focused and so proud to represent their country. I’ve never had a flat performance from a group of players in an England shirt.”
The FA is offering the chance for local children aged 10-12 to be a flag bearer or the England and Estonia mascot.
To apply, email your name and telephone number to firstname.lastname@example.org by close of play on Friday evening.
