The Chernobyl Children Life Line (CCLL) organised a tour of the Shay for children of Belarus who have been affected by the Chernobyl disaster.

They were given a tour of the ground by associate director Peter Stajic. The charity was set up in 1991 and arranges for children to stay with host families in Calderdale and elsewhere each year. There are now around 140 links throughout the country fundraising and it costs around £700 to bring each child over for a holiday.
