The annual Halifax Christmas Lights Switch On will take place on Saturday November 29.
The celebration will feature live entertainment from local dance groups, choirs, children’s entertainmeners and some well-known mascots, rugby stars, cheerleaders, radio presenters and panto star Neil Hurst.
There will be a Christmas Market running from 10am until 6pm at the Woolshops with local crafts, hot food and plenty of gifts to buy, free donkey rides on the precinct, and a special appearance from Father Christmas.
The Halifax Christmas Light Switch On is free to attend, and will culminate in the lights being turned on by the Mayor of Calderdale alongside Danny and Rosie from the Danny Mylo Breakfast Show of Pulse 1 at roughly 4.30pm with a firework display to follow.
The celebration will take place on Saturday November 29 from 2pm until 6pm on Russell Street, Halifax.
