Collapsed woman has money stolen from her in Huddersfield

Police are appealing for witnesses after a woman had money stolen from her after collapsing in the street in the Golcar area of Huddersfield.

Shortly after 11.50am on Tuesday, October 7, the victim, a 54-year-old woman, on getting out of a taxi in Town End has felt lightheaded and collapsed.

She was assisted by a number of members of the public, including two male builders and a woman who got her a glass of water.

She discovered a short time later that some cash had been stolen from her bag.

PC Andrea Davison, of the Kirklees Rural Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: “We are keen to speak to the people who stopped to help this woman and any other people who have witnessed the events following her fall.

“Anyone with information is asked to call Kirklees Rural Neighbourhood Policing Team on 101.”
