Calderdale Council say they are doing everything they can to keep roads open in the wintry weather.
All the council’s gritters are out in force tonight (Wednesday) on the region’s main roads and will be for as long as needed.
But the council is urging motorists to take extra care on untreated surfaces.
All waste and recycling collection services are expected to resume tomorrow where they finished today, weather permitting.
Residents are being advised to leave materials out and crews will get to them as soon as they can. Household waste sites are closed at the moment.
Most libraries that were due to open today are open as normal, but Stainland and Mytholmroyd libraries are both closed today due to bad weather.
Library items can also be renewed by phone (01422 288040 / 288028) or online at www.calderdale.gov.uk/leisure.
If your home care or day care service is disrupted due to adverse weather your home care / day care provider will call you or your representative to inform you of any changes to your care provision.
If you are concerned about your care provision please contact Gateway to Care on 01422 393000 between 8.45am and 5.30pm from Monday to Thursday, and 8.45am to 5pm on Friday.
