Couple found love just like '˜Last Tango'

Barry Crossland and Judith Robinson got married at Spring Hall Mansion, Halifax, followed by a reception at Bradley Hall Golf Club.

Both Barry and Judith had happy marriages but both ended in bereavement.

The pair met using internet dating and both were delighted to meet a special person again so late in life.

Barry started his working life as a laboratory assistant and graduated by part-time study.

He then moved into education and taught at Calderdale College for 24 years, acquiring a M. Phil. by part-time research.

He established his own business, Pool Water Services, in 2003 and continues to work.

He has been a keen sportsman, winning trophies in five sports and being membership secretary at Queens Sports Club , Halifax, for nine years.

He is a member of Bradley Hall golf club and has interests in environmental matters, economics and politics, and has contributed to the letters page of The Courier on these topics.

Judith was born in Sunderland but more recently lived in Shipley.

She graduated as a physiotherapist and held various posts in the NHS and private practice before retiring.

She has been an active member of The Girl Guides for over 50 years. Judith is very musical and sings in the Bradford Chorale and Marsh Ladies choirs.

The pair who live in Elland Lane are both keen gardeners and grow some of their own fruit and vegetables, being novice winners at Sowerby Bridge Horticultural Show last year.

They both enjoy walking and dancing, and are life members of the National Trust.

The couple plan to spend their honeymoon in The Lake District.
