MORE than 25 stalls displayed their wares at the Shibden Craft Fair.

The event, held at Shibden Hall, showcased many local handmade goods including cheeses, cakes and chutneys.

It was a chance to buy gifts with a special touch with stalls offering jewellery amd glassware.

Deborah Comyn-Platt, estate manager, said: “It was a great day with around 300 people turning out.

“The stallholders were all pleased and we plan to do it again next year.”

Plans are already in place for a Christmas craft fair at Shibden Hall. It will be a three day event starting on November 19 and will offer people the chance to get all their Christmas gifts in one place.
