A MEAT wholesaler has been accused of hygiene breaches at its Holywell Green slaughterhouse.
J and E Medcalf is charged with failing to stain animal by-products promptly. It also allegedly failed to repair a staircase, leaving debris on the floor. And a hole in the ceiling of the slaughter hall is said to have risked dirt, condensation or mould. The case was adjourned at Calderdale Magistrates’ Court.
