Boy, 15, robbed by men with knuckle duster in Halifax

A 15-year-old boy was robbed by two men carrying a knuckle duster in Halifax.

Detectives are appealing for witnesses following the incident which happened on Huddersfield Road at around 3pm yesterday (Thursday).

The boy was sat on a wall next to the driveway of Spring Hall Registry Office and the athletics track when he was approached by two men. They held what is believed to be a knuckle duster to the boy’s chest and demanded his mobile phone. They walked off towards the town centre , before returning a short time later and demanding money from the boy.

Detective Inspector Gary Stephenson of Calderdale CID said: “This incident took place on an arterial route in to Halifax in broad day light and I am certain someone will have witnessed the incident, or seen the suspects before, or after the incident occurred.

“The suspects have intimidated the victim in to handing over his mobile phone, before returning a second time. I would urge anyone with information to come forward.”

The first suspect is described as white, approximately 25 years, 6ft tall, of medium build with short blonde hair. He was wearing a grey tracksuit and was scruffy looking.

The second suspect is described as white, approximately 25-years-old, of skinny build, with short black hair. He was wearing a black top and grey jogging bottoms and also had a scruffy appearance.
