Brighouse murder probe launched as three people are arrested over the death of Rastrick man

Police have launched a murder enquiry in Brighouse after a man was found with serious head injuries yesterday morning. (Monday 6 April)

Officers were called at 1.36am on Monday by the ambulance service to Thornes Park, Brighouse.

The man aged 33 from Rastrick, was taken to hospital but later died from his injuries.

Detective Chief Inspector Tony Nicholson of Protective Services (Crime) is leading the investigation said: "‘If anyone saw any suspicious activity in or around Thornes Park late on Sunday night or early on Monday morning then please get in contact.

"A man has sadly lost his life and I want to know what happened and why.

"A scene remains in place whilst extensive enquiries are carried out.’

Two men aged 44 and 32 and a 52 year old woman have been arrested on suspicion of murder. They remain in police custody.
